- A black and white print of John Ham Perry.

- John Ham Perry was born on April 26, 1827 at Ernestown, Lennox & Addington Counties, Upper Canada and came to Whitby in 1836. In 1854 he was Reeve of Whitby Township. He was Deputy Reeve of the Town of Whitby in 1856, 1865, 1866 and Reeve of the town of Whitby from 1861 to 1864. From 1858 to 1859 he was Mayor of the Town of Whitby and from 1853 to 1896 he was registrar of deeds for Ontario County. He died at Whitby on March 25, 1896 and is buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa.
