Description
A black and white photograph of William Edmund Newton Sinclair that was printed in the Gazette and Chronicle (newspaper).
Notes
W.E.N. Sinclair was born on June 28, 1873 at lot 24, concession 4, Whitby Township. He moved to Oshawa in 1899 where he became a lawyer. He was reeve of Oshawa in 1909 and mayor of Oshawa in 1910-1911, 1915 and 1933-1934. He was leader of the Ontario Liberal Party from 1923 to 1934. He died at Oshawa on November 26, 1947 and is buried at Union Cemetery, Oshawa.
