- A black and white photograph of Michael O'Donovan's Carriage Works.
- Notes
- O'Donovan Carriage Works was located at 300 Brock Street South, in the block bounded by Brock Street, Gilbert Street, Byron Street and Dunlop Street. The entrance faced the west side of Brock Street. The three storey frame building at the right of the photo was constructed in 1869 and demolished in 1907. The carriage factory was sold to G.V. Martin and Samuel Trees who turned it into a buckle factory in 1888 under the name of Martin Manufacturing Company.
