- A black and white newspaper advertisement for J. F. Rainer & Co., appearing in The Whitby Chronicle, November 1868.
- Notes
- Joseph F. Rainer opened a piano factory on the south side of Mary Street, east of Byron Street in 1860. This factory continued in operation until June 1872 when Mr. Rainer moved to Guelph. The factory was destroyed by fire on November 27, 1873.
