- A black and white photograph of the interior of William E. Hewis's Meat Market. Pictured standing at the back of the store, from left to right are: unidentified man, William Hewis, unidentified man and unidentified man. Meat hanging from hooks along left wall of store, canned goods and packaged goods pictured. Grocery scale on counter in front of back wall. Posters behind counter advertising "Maple Leaf" meats. Front left corner of photograph has "Rose Lard" oval container, resting on larger lard containers. Calendar reads February 19, 1933.

- This building was located at 121 Brock Street North. W.E. Hewis's Meat Market was located in the south store of the Hewis Block on the east side of Brock Street, north of Dundas Street.
- Inscriptions
