- A black and white newspaper clipping of the Standard Bank Building. This photograph shows the new bank interior in 1914.
- Notes
- This building was located at 101 Brock Street North. It was built in 1866 and demolished in 1964. It was built for Lowes and Powell, a dry goods company, and called the "Dominion Warerooms." In 1914,the Standard Bank refinished the outside of the building and moved in. The Standard Bank became the Bank of Commerce in 1929 and a new Bank of Commerce replaced the old building in 1964. This photograph was published in the Gazette and Chronicle, 1914.
