This photograph is on the back of the twenty-seventh leaf of Alex Brown's album. This leaf has 4 pockets for photos on each side. In the top left pocket is a photo of George Brown. The top right photo is of a newspaper article with headline "Will get medal for efficiency" about George Brown. The bottom left photo is of Bud Bragg, Jake Bryant and Ron Bragg. The bottom right photo is of Doug Outwin and Bob Finley.

- Alex Brown is a local Whitby area veteran. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Douglas Joseph Outwin was born at Verdun, Quebec in 1921. He served in the Second World War with Royal Canadian Army Service Corps as a truck driver. He was a taxi driver in Whitby from 1936 to 1973. He died in Toronto in 1986 and was buried at Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin. - Date of Original
