- Alex Brown is a local Whitby area veteran. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Arthur James Manderson was born in Toronto in 1920. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He was a member of Mount Zion Masonic Lodge, Brooklin and Oshawa Shrine Club. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion at Whitby and Brooklin. He died at Toronto in 1993 and is buried at Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.
