- Alex Brown is a local Whitby area veteran. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.

- Fifty years have passed since these Port Whitby boys and one from "Up Town" got together in England for a pop.
They are, from left to right, Ron Bragg (the Up Town boy); Jim Neal, Charlie Mesher, George Gaston, and Henry Perry (the "Bad Boys").
We are some of the lucky ones. About 28 good Whitby young men never came home. God bless them all. - Date of Original
