- Alex Brown is a local Whitby area veteran. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Oakley St. Pierre was born at Whitby on April 29, 1917. He served in the Second World War from 1941 to 1945 in Italy, France, Belgium and Germany. He served in the Ontario Regiment (Tank) and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Whitby Branch. He died at Whitby in 1989. - Date of Original
