A black and white photograph of a newspaper clipping of a death notice for Joseph (Joe) Robert Tobin.

This was located on the back of the third leaf of Alex Brown's album and located in the top left pocket. This leaf had 4 pockets for photos on each side. In the top left pocket was a photo of a death notice for Joseph (Joe) Robert TOBIN. The top right photo was of Soldiers at Whitby Military Hospital, 1917. At bottom left is Geo. Brown and bottom right a photo of two soldiers.
Notes
Alex Brown is a local Whitby area veteran. He is a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.

TOBIN, Joseph (Joe) Robert - On Canada Day, July 1st, 2001, Joe, in his 81st year, was reunited with his late wife Jean. He was peacefully surrounded with the love of his family. Dad will be sadly missed by his eight girls and their families: Janet and Brian Worfolk and children Brian Joseph, Eric, Candace; JoAnne and Lee Thompson and children Shane and Kate, and grandchild Olivia; Janice and Brian Cordick and children Alana and Vanessa; Jackie and John Giroux and children Joseph, Erin, Patrick and Michael; Josephine Harris and children Chris and Elise; June and Ernest Phillips and children Ernie and Heather, Lee-Ann and Mike, Bill and Crystal, and grandchildren Taylor, Shelby, Billy, and Chrissy; Joyce and Earl Whittick and children Kim, David and Lisa; Joan and Martin Hanley and children Paul, Patricia, and Philip. Joe, a W.W.II Veteran, was an active life member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 112, Whitby. Donations to the Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family. Mr. Tobin will be resting at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas St. East, Whitby, Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from St. John the Evangelist Church, 903 Giffard St., Whitby, Thursday 10:30 a.m. Interment St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Whitby. (Legion Service Wednesday 7 p.m.)
