- A black and white portrait photograph of Fred Hartrick in his soldier uniform.
- Notes
- Frederick James Hartrick was born in Whitby as son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hartrick. He was a member of the Whitby Junior Hockey team around 1905. He married Daisy Huntley of Whitby and together they had three children. He later moved to Toronto and joined the 17th Canadian Mounted Rifles in the First World War. He was killed in action in Belgium on October 26, 1917 and is buried in Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium.
According to the Canadian Virtual War Memorial website, his Service Number was 201176 and he was part of the Army unit: 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles (2nd Central Ontario Regiment). Frederick Hartrick is commemorated on Page 252 of the First World War Book of Remembrance. Frederick Hartrick was born January 22, 1887.
