This is a black and white photograph of Hamar Greenwood receiving an honourary Doctorate of Laws degree from the University of Toronto. From left to right are: H.J. Cody (president of the University), Viscount Finlay, Viscount Greenwood, Sire William Mulock (Chancellor of the University), Dr. Bruce MacDonald (Chairman of the Board of Governors).
Notes
Thomas Hamar Greenwood was born at Whitby February 7, 1870 and left Canada for England in 1895. He was chief secretary for Ireland from 1920-1922 and died at London, England on September 10, 1948.
