- Description
- A black and white photograph of the exterior of the Ontario Ladies' College. There is a canon in the lower right corner of the photograph.
- Notes
- The canon in the lower right corner was a historical relic of Whitby. It was cast in the foundry of Carleton Lynde in 1860 for the visit of the Prince of Wales. For many years it was the town canon and was fired on special occasions such as the first Dominion day, July 1, 1867. It was later placed on the College lawn where it remained until the 1920s. Its whereabouts is now unknown. Ontario Ladies' College is now known as Trafalgar Castle School, and is located at 401 Reynolds Street.
