- A black and white photograph of Miss R. Pearl Sharpe and Miss Gertrude Bryan standing in front of a tree on the nursing school graduation day. In the background is one of the Ontario Hospital buildings. There is a car to the left of the photograph.

- Miss. R. Pearl Sharpe was born at Wooler, Ontario on June 4, 1904 and came to the Ontario hospital at Whitby as a nurse in training in 1924. She graduated from the Ontario Hospital School of Nursing in 1927 and became a member of the school of nursing staff, rising to instructor, head nurse and Superintendent of the Nursing School in 1936. She was transferred to the Ontario Hospital at Cobourg as Superintendent of Nursing in 1949, retiring in 1955. Reta Pearl Sharpe died at Trenton, Ontario, on March 11, 2001, at the age of 96 and is buried in Stockdale Cemetery.
Miss Gertrude Bryan was the Director of the Nursing School at Whitby in 1927. - Date of Original
