Lori Strong of Whitby, a member of the Winstonettes Gymnastics Association, won the overall gold medal for seniors as the Winstonettes held their second Ontario national qualifier on March 3.
Strong had a total score of 28.70 after competing in compulsory vault, bars, beam and floor exercises. Larissa Lowing of Pickering, formerly of Whitby, was second, with a score of 38.10.
Strong, Canadian and Commonwealth champion, and Lowing, will compete for Canadian Canada Cup, 90 at Skydome on March 29.
