Full Text: An Olympic send – off celebration party will be held for Glenn Beauchamp of Whitby on Friday, Sept. 9 at Woodview Community Centre in Oshawa.

Proceeds will help Beauchamp pay his training expenses in preparation for judo competition at the upcoming Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea.

Beauchamp is a seven-time Canadian champion and was fourth in the 1984 Olympics. He trained for 10 years at the Formokan Judo club at Woodview.
