Friday, August 30, 2024 3 Brooklin Town Crier It's December 4th, 1956, inside the studio at Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee. That fateful night, an extraordinary twist of fate brought together four of the greatest musicians of the generation in one room, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash who went on to have one of history's most legendary jam sessions. Tony Award-nominated Million Dollar Quartet brings that night to life, weaving together some of the era's biggest smash-hits with a tale of broken promises, secrets, celebration, and betrayal. Toe-tapping tunes include Great Balls of Fire, Who Do You Love?, Walk the Line, Blue Suede Shoes, Fever, and so much more. Telling a story that's both humorous and poignant, this show is guaranteed to be Durham Region's entertainment highlight of the season. Talented cast A co-production with Hastings County's Tweed & Company Theatre, the cast and creative team is stacked with talent and experience. Aligning with its mandate to bring fully professional theatre to Durham Region, Dream Co. Theatre, in its third year of operation, is delighted to be using Equity actors in this show, meaning that some of Canada's top talent is coming to town. Or in some cases, they're returning home. Playing Elvis Presley is Liam Lynch, who was born and raised in Pickering. Singer and performer Jessica Wilson stars as Dyanne, the girlfriend of the King of Rock and Roll.
