- Postcard from 1908. Colour image of the post office and customs house in Brockville on front side. Back of postcard has writing and two stamps. One single circle stamp with "Toronto Jul 3 2pm 1908" and the second single circle stamp says "Port Whitby 4 JY 08 ONT". In the top right corner is a green postage stamp with the face of King Edward VII.

- Postcards were a very popular form of correspondence in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. There were a quick, easy and relatively cheap way to send a letter to someone. Postcards were rectangular in shape and would typically be sent without an envelope. One side could have an image or design and the opposite side would be where a person could write their letter and the address of the person they were mailing it to. This side would also be where the postal marks and stamps would be placed.
