- Inverlynn was built in 1860 as the home of William Laing. Mr. Laing lost the house in the grain depression of 1865, and it was purchased in 1870 by George McGillivray. His descendants still live in the house. This is a view of the east side of the house. The front and side porches were added in 1922.
