Fondly missed by her extended family of girlfriends especially Norah, Ann and Joan. Beautiful, sweet and always stylish, Irma will be remembered for her thought- fulness and care. She loved baking sweets and treats, making birthdays and holidays so special, playing cards with her girlfriends and making her home blossom through her passion for gardening. Fred was a character who loved to share the stories of his life. From the shipyards of Belfast, travelling the world in the Merchant Navy, studying Mechanical Engineering at Strathclyde University, and many years spent in leader- ship roles across the Nuclear Industry, he had endless tales to tell - always delivered with a sense of humour like no other. Memories may be shared at www.destefanofuneralhomes.ca LARISH, Betty ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Betty Pearl Larish passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 88 years of age in Calgary AB with her daughter Giselle by her side. She was born September 5, 1934 in Oshawa, Ontario. She is survived by her daughters Giselle Larish (Calgary AB) and Monica Soulabaille (Oakville ON), her granddaughter Maria, her son- in-law Jean Luc and her sister Joan Coutts (Oshawa ON). She is predeceased by her husband Erhard, parents Leon Edward Parks and Ina Pearl Parks and siblings Lawson and Stanley. Betty was interred beside her husband at Mount Lawn cemetery in Whitby ON, on November 1, 2022 with Giselle, Monica, Maria and Jean Luc attending in a quiet tribute to her. In lieu of flowers, Betty asked for donations to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Betty had a long career as an elementary school teacher in Brooklin, ON. While she didn't love flying, she travelled extensively around the world. After retirement she preferred to jump on a train to visit family no matter where life had planted them at the time. She had a good life, filled with the simple pleasures of jigsaw puzzles, gardening and shopping. She brought love and kindness to her family and remains an integral part of who we are individually and as a family. She will forever be in our hearts and our thoughts.
