George was born on January 4, 1936 and spent his childhood in Ballynashee Northern Ireland. In 1966 he married Martha (Marty) Richmond and moved to Toronto Canada with her in 1969, and to Whitby in 1994 where he spent the rest of his adult years. George is pre- deceased by his parents Mary and Thomas Wilson, brother Tom, and sister Mollie. He leaves his wife Marty, son Michael, daughter Joanne and grandsons Evan and Lucas, brother John (Joan), sister Sandra and her family, and the Richmond family. George loved music and was an acclaimed Irish fiddle player. He taught music to children and performed at celebrations across Toronto and Durham into his later years. He had a deep love for animals in need and cared for many animals at home, and volunteered at animal shelters. There will be a private cremation with immediate family on Sunday, October 9th.
