In her 86th year Helen passed away Monday, August 15, 2022, at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Leonard "Len" Williams of 55 years. Loving mother of Cynthia (Mark) and Darin (Petrina). Proud and devoted grandma to five beautiful grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kendra (Brandon), Alex, Carter, and Tori (Louis). She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews, neighbours, and friends. The youngest of one sister (Mary Frost) and six brothers (Jimmy, Frankie, Louie, Phil, Ronnie, and Tommy). Now they will all be together once again with their parents George and Maria (nee Erico). Dedicated worker at Sears for 24 years, with the love of sewing, painting, and gardening. Helen touched so many lives with her spark, joy, love, and caring personality. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 25th between 3:30-7 p.m. at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Garrard Road, Whitby, (north of Dundas Street East). BREMNER, Brian Peter July 16, 1949 - August 17, 2022 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It is with profound sadness and broken hearts, that we announce the passing of our beloved Brian. Brian passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on August 17th, 2022. Beloved dad to Peter (Samantha). Loving brother to Joanne (Richard) Kazimierczuk. Uncle to Matthew (Kaylin) Kazimierczuk and loving nephew to Roberta Ritchey (Aunt Bird). Brian is predeceased by his parents; Peter, 1967 and Joyce (Bint) 1989. Brian will be missed by his many friends, far and wide. A lover of fishing and the outdoors, motorcycles and music. (nee Wallace) Sept 27, 1929 - July 12, 2022 Passed away peacefully in Oshawa at the age of 92. Predeceased by her devoted husband Jack. Kind and loving mother of Julie & Wallace. Growing up in Scugog Township, Doris's musical talents manifested themselves at an early age and she obtained her Associate Diploma (Solo Performer) from the Royal Conservatory of Music at 19. Over the next seven decades, she shared her gift of music with thousands in Durham Region & beyond as a piano teacher, music director at St. Mark's United (Whitby) & accompanist for various community choral groups including the GM Choir. A gifted singer, Doris was an alumna of the Leslie Bell Singers with whom she performed in countless broadcasts, recordings & concerts across Canada. She later became a member & assistant director of The County Town Singers. Her love of music was equalled only by her love for her family. And she continued to share her warm, smile & caring spirit with family, friends & caregivers until her final days. Ed loved his life and his family and friends. He was very contented with his many accomplishments throughout his life. His soul mate Dianne, married for 54 years, will dearly miss him. As a father he was so very proud of and cherished his beloved children: John (predeceased) (Cathy), Joanne Balson (John), Jim (Heather), Keaton Morrison (Sean Casey). They are comforted knowing he is at peace and his spirit is reunited with his beloved son John and other predeceased family members. He felt highly privileged to have had such amazing grandchildren: Emily and Dorothy Aru, Jack and Stella Balson, Georgia, Slade and Tallinn Aru and Archer Casey. Ed had many passions in his life. He was instrumental in starting the Oshawa Hawkeyes football club for which he was inducted into the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame; he was a proud member of the Samac Foundation for many years, also an avid enthusiastic fisherman. The nurturing of his passion is now evident in all his grandchildren. His great love for winter skiing was almost obsessive and all his children and his grandchildren share in the love for this sport and ski well. His interest in bird watching is legendary to his grandchildren who are beginning to appreciate this passion. He loved life and enjoyed socializing with his many friends and relatives. He will be missed and has left an enviable legacy. There will be a private celebration of Ed's life held in the fall. As a tribute to your friend take some time to celebrate his life in your own special way. He always loved a wee dram of scotch. The family wish to thank the Cancer Centre Staff at LHO and 4F Palliative Care staff for the care and compassion they bestowed. Dr. Gergely, our doctor of many years, has been the finest and most caring person for us in our most difficult times. She is a tribute to her profession.
