Police responded to an armed person call in the Normandy Street and Dean Avenue area at about 11:45 a.m. and found a 19-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. The victim was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries and is now listed in stable condition. The bust occurred April 11, when officers investigating suspected trafficking arrested two men and seized two vehicles in Toronto, according to Durham police. The initial action resulted in the seizure of 15 kg of cocaine, police said. Three more search warrants were executed in Toronto, resulting in a further seizure of 10kg of cocaine, police said. The estimated value of the 25 kg of cocaine is $2.5 million, police said. Charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking are Nino Cunanan, 41, of Navy Wharf Court, Toronto, and 54-year-old Ali Baek of William Carson Crescent, Toronto.
