Johnny will also be remembered by family and friends as a rescuer of many cats, dogs and bunnies over the years. John is survived by son Jonathan, daughter Allie; brother Alf and sister-in-law Jean, with whom he spent his last months; as well as his extended family throughout southern Ontario. Thanks to Chantal and the Northumberland Hills palliative care staff, and to Kellie at Newcastle Funeral Home, for their kindness and professionalism during this time. Do not hurry as you walk with grief; It does not help the journey. Be not disturbed by memories that come unbidden. Swiftly forgive; And let the Universe speak for you unspoken words. Unfinished conversations will be resolved. Be not disturbed. Be gentle with the one who walks with grief. If it is you, be gentle with yourself. Swiftly forgive; take time, be gentle As you walk with grief.
