Whitby gave the group $2000 from the Mayor's community development fund while it received $1545 from the province. Representing the Town were Mayor Don Mitchel, Regional Councillor Rhonda Mulcahy and North Ward councillor Steve Lee. MPP Lorne Coe was on hand to represent Ms. MacLeod. Following the presentation, the BHS held its regular monthly meeting.
