The Tweedie family immigrated to Canada from Lanarkshire, Scotland circa 1829. In 1985 Robert Attersley bought the house and donated it to Len Cullen in 1986. The house was moved from lot 23, Concession 1 to Cullen Gardens where it was added to the "prettiest Street in Ontario" and renovated in 1987 along side the Lynde House.
