Forty-five years later, Mr. Hadfield is himself inspiring children to be the best they can be, and a small group of them were treated to a visit by the retired Canadian astronaut at the official opening of Chris Hadfield Public School on May 9. Brooklin garden club talks wildflowers this month BROOKLIN -- The Brooklin Horticultural Society is inviting members to display their favourite spring plants during its Spring Show on May 28. This month's meeting will feature guest speaker Miriam Goldberger on the topic of taming wildflowers. A wildflower farmer since 1986, Ms. Goldberger has seeded, planted, nurtured, harvested and created floral designs with thousands of wildflowers. She is founder and co-owner of Wildflower Farm, a wildflower seed production company. The Brooklin Horticultural Society is a volunteer organization founded in 1921 to provide a welcoming environment for all who enjoy creating attractive gardens.
