The Leafs provided the white towels to wave. The school was granted permission to live stream the game, one of only 15 schools in Ontario to be so honoured, after grade 4/5 teacher Julie MacGregor entered the school in a contest through the educational technology company Everfi. The company, which promotes science, tech, engineering and math in schools, partnered with the Leafs in the contest. "It brings things like measurement skills to life," MacGregor says, citing the example of how students in her class had to measure a hockey rink's perimeter.
