Brooklin Women's Institute Cont'd Training Schools and 4H Clubs. Each year in Ontario a 4H Girl Club Member is awarded a $100.00 scholarship for outstanding achievement. The Branch Women's Institute is the local instrument, responsible for establishing an educational programme for the Homemakers of the community. Many opportunities are made available through the Women's Institute programme. Each year the Home Economics Branch, Department of Agriculture and Food offers courses available to every woman in the community on Foods and Nutrition, Home Crafts, Parliamentary Procedure, Home Management etc; through the Branch Women's Institutes. The Motto of the Women's Institutes is "For Home and Country". The objects of the Branch Women's Institutes are: (a) To help women acquire sound and approved practices for greater home efficiency, (b) To help discover, stimulate and develop leaders, (c) To help develop a more abundant life in our communities and a deeper appreciation of the things near at hand (d) To help develop better, happier and more useful citizens.
