This is so neat to see! In 1925 when my father, Fred Buldyke, was about seven years old, my grandfather, John Buldyke moved his family from Oshawa and bought fifty acres of land on Hwy 7 about a mile and a half west of Brooklin. The land was still covered in stumps at that time with woods and Lynde Creek at the back. The workable land had to be all cleared with using horses and ropes/chains. I always wondered what Brooklin would have looked like back then and now I know! THANK YOU!

Hi Marie,
I'm glad you used our website to find out what Brooklin used to look like. It's a great little area of Whitby. Enjoy!
