Description
A black and white photograph of Brooklin Hotel. There are several people standing in front of the hotel and horses and horse-drawn carts. The man standing beside the pump is George Washington Chinn (1860-1892). The baby sitting on the pony in front of the entrance is Mabel May Chinn (1889-1975).
Notes
The Brooklin Hotel was located at 56 Baldwin Street. It was built about 1882-3 on the north-west corner of Baldwin and Campbell Streets. It closed in the late 1960s and in 1970 became the Brooklin Legion Hall. At the time this picture was taken the proprietor was Thomas Chinn. The belvedere on the roof was removed before 1907.
