Description
A black and white photograph of Shephard’s Meat Market.
Notes
Shephard’s Meat Market was located at 115 Brock Street South. It was the fifth store south of the Dominion Bank on the east side of Brock Street south of Dundas. The Market was opened about 1937 by John Kirkby Shephard. Anthony Kitchen Shephard (son of John Kirkby) operated the store from 1940 until his death in 1944. Margaret Shephard (wife of Anthony Kitchen) operated the store from 1944 until the business was sold in 1952 to Gerald Fletcher.
