Description
A black and white print of Joel Bigelow Store.
Notes
This three-storey brick and stone store was located at 106 Dundas Street West (on the north side of Dundas Street, three doors west of Brock Street). The building was known as Bigelow's Block. It was built around 1860 and operated as a dry goods, groceries and stationery store by Joel Bigelow.

This print comes from "Tremaine's Map of the County of Ontario, Upper Canada".
Inscriptions
Sign at the side of store says "The Peoples Cheap Cash Store - Joel Bigelow".

Signs in store windows: Schoolbook, stationery, dry goods, groceries.

Underneath: Dundas Street, Whitby.
