- This is a view of Brock Street looking north from Dundas Street. The large crowd of people in the picture indicates a special occasion. The event is unknown. JV stands for John Valentine and Sons. John Valentine and Sons made postcards and were located in England.
- Inscriptions
- At bottom of post card: "Brock Street, Whitby, Ont." The white sign on the building to the far right says "Western Bank of Canada". The Awning on the store to the furthest right says "Lawler". At the bottom there is a number handwritten "103,325" and the letters JV written in a circle.
