Description
A photograph of the storefront for A.H. Allin Druggist and Chemist. Mr. Allin is standing in the doorway of the store. An unidentified boy is standing at the right side of the image.
Notes
Allin's drug store was located at 100 Dundas Street West (on the north west corner of Dundas and Brock Streets). Mr. Allin operated the store from 1896 to 1945. The building where the drugstore was located was called Gerrie's Block. This building was built for James H. Gerrie in 1873.
Inscriptions
On sign above store: "Chemist. A.H. Allin. Druggist." On poster to the left of store front: "Its so easy to Dye with DIAMOND DYES. A.H. Allin Chemist Druggist." On window to the right of doorway: "Try K.D.C. Stonewall Jackson". Underneath store window to the left: "A.H. ALLIN DRUGGIST". Underneath store window to the right: "PIPES TOBACCO".
