- Notes
- Wolfenden Marble Works was located at 105 Dundas Street East (on the south side of Dundas Street between Brock and Green Streets). It was built in 1878 and demolished in 1969. From 1878 to 1899 the building was used as a marble cutting factory for Johnathan Wolfenden and others. From 1899-1946 it was used by the armories of the 34th Regiment, later the Ontario Regiment. From 1946-1962 the building was a car show room for Whitby Motors. From 1962-1969 it was a car show room and furniture store. In 1969 it was demolished to make way for construction of the Toronto-Dominion Bank. This print comes from an invoice of J. & R. Wolfenden, Marble Dealers.
