- A lithograph of Burleigh's Hotel.
- Notes
- This two-storey roughcast hotel stood on the north-east corner of Byron and Gilbert Streets. In 1855 it was called Gaige's Central Hotel. In 1858 it was operated by Samuel Burleigh. There is no record of what happened to this building after 1858.
This particular lithograph was printed in the Whitby Chronicle as an advertisement. - Inscriptions
- At top of print "Burleigh's Hotel". Underneath image of hotel: "Corner of Byron & Gilbert Sts. Whitby, C.W. Samuel Burleigh, Proprietor N.B. Good Stabling Attached and Trusty Hostlers Always in Attendance."
