- A cabinet card photograph found in the Archives storage room. The Whitby Archives believes this photograph to be of Mrs. Rachel (Park) Duff, 1833-1920.
- Notes
- Mrs. Adam Duff (Rachel Park) was born in Ireland in 1833, daughter of Thomas and Rachel Park. About 1850 she and Adam Duff of Pickering Township were married. In 1862 they moved to Myrtle where Adam Duff acquired more than 500 acres of land in the north part of Whitby Township. In 1887 they moved to Port Perry where Adam Duff remained until his death January 7, 1896. Rachel died at the home of their son, Robert Duff, near Myrtle, on January 20, 1920. She is buried at Burns, Presbyterian Cemetery, Ashburn.
