Notes
The land for Peel Park at the south end of Peel Street near Burns Street, was purchased by the Town of Whitby in 1939 and used for many years as a dump site. The dump was closed in 1958 and the land was converted to a recreational park. The Kinsmen Club of Whitby helped construct facilities there in the 1960s.
