Stewart Taylor, 33, wil for the next two years be working as a teacher in Port Moresby New Guinea. Alter a 16 montli wait Taylor's application was confirmed seven weeks ago. Once finished an intensive one week training program in Ottawa, Taylor left for New Gwinea last Thursday morning at 7 a.m. CUSOi is a non-profit organization that litres qualified teclinical and professional people and places them in over 40 developing countrys in Africa, Asia, Latin Anierica and the Carribean. Wliile in Port Moresby, Taylor wil be teaching as an auto/diesel mechanie in- structor at the Department of Works and Supply in Papau New Guinea's training centre. Taylor was born in England and moved to Canada in 1958, settling in Whitby. Since the program is voluntar, he will be receiving a base income ac- cording to his needs. Housing accommodations are provided. Ris mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Kay, said the two year trip wll hold an extra benefit for her son. Benefit concert in Greenwood There will be a benfit concert held at Greenwood Community Park on $un- day, August 10, 1980, from 2 to 7 p.m. The concert is for Denise Swedio, a 2 year old local girl who recently lost her right arm and most of her left liand in a tragic ac- cident.
