Igers claimed top honours by sweeping Ajax -in two straight games ini the league finals. Ajax had gained a berth ine the final by elinunating last year's champs Markham in the semi-final. Why had secured a spot in the finals by winning the regular season pennant. The series opened in Ajax and the opener proved to be the* most exciting gaine of the year. The gaine needed three extra innings to determine a winner. Whitby then beat Brampton 3-0 with goals from Stewart, Mangan and Volpe who again was voted game MVP. The win set up a semi-final game against Burlington. After regulation time the score was 1-1, with Stewart scoring for Whitby. After 20 minutes cf overtime the score was still tied se, the game went te penalty kicks. Whitby goalkeeper Diedra Lowe saved two penalty kicks and Sarah Hume, Vope and Mangan scored to give Whitbya 4-2 win ini what was described as the most entertaining game played this season. Other mernbers cf the team are Sarah Jeffrey, Kristine Hanf, Jennifer Sawula, Sarah Harrington, Jessica Clark, Jessica Taylor, Alexandra Flego, Jessica Brownridge, Stephanie Chapman and Lacey Harrison.
