PWU president John Murphy rejected the commission's conten- tion that bargaining tactics were a factor behind t he advertise- ment. Town council, and the Save Our Generai Hospital (SOGH) citizens' committee may be join- ing forces in an attempt to, stop the loss of acute care health services at Whiltby Generai. Foliowing a meeting with SOGH members last Thursday, council agreed to consider a number of measures aimed at retaining acute care services. Among the proposais under consideration is the possibility of a joint submission to the Dur- hamn Region District Health Council asking that it rejeet a advanced to. the Eastern Ontario interclub meet (see story on page 22).
