On Nov. 5, ildcats played bost te Newmaket Redmen. Whitby started off strong, wfth some big bits by Brant Flaherty, and skated to a convincing 4-0 'in. Sean Tremaine collected the shutout, turning awa y a barrage of third period power play shots by Newmarket. Scoring for Witby were Timn Fennessey with two goals, Ryan Babcock and Bob Sclitt. Despite a power interruption on Nov. 6 at, Iroquois Park, Whitby played the visiting Ajax rivaIs. Hot Ajax goaltending kept the game close, as the score was 2-2 at the end of tbe second period. Wbhitby goaltending Cbuck Coies turned away several Ajax scoring chances witb bis gbove band. Whitby fired 54 shots at the Ajax net and came away with a 4-2 win.
