Superb goaltending by Lisa Orviss, combined with. a strong defence led by Becky Birtzu, Lynsie Arts and Joanna Boys, led Whitby to their firat double-digit win of the season. Leading Whitby with four goals was Katie Boys. Joanna Boys had three goals and one assist. Heidi Nilin had three goals. Stacey Quesnelle had two goals and two assists. Lindsay Tait had two assists. Other members who contributed to the win were Melanie Quesnelle and Caitlin Campbell. and Erin Carroll both scored short-handed goals 30 seconds apart te open up the game. On Oct. 20, Wildcats met Ajax. Walsh scored in the first to tie the gaine with Rourke assisting. In the second period Whitby went ahead 3-2 on goals by Chaisson and Rourke. In the third period Whitby got caught napping and Ajax scored three unanswered goals- to win 5-3. Mike Thoraton played well in goal for Whitby as he faced 37 shots. On Saturday, Oct. 22, Wildcats won 4-3 in an ekhibition game aganst Bowmanvllle.
