Terirstoomach for Fis opposition The Whitby Terriers boys' Lnder-14 tier 1 soccer teamn went undefeated in the 35th annual A.C. Douglas tournament in Niagara Falls Aug. 13 and 14. Terrers , started the tournament with a 9-0 thrashing of Oshawa Turul, followed by a methodical 6-0 victory over Oakville. On the final day of the tournament, Terriers came back to tie West End in the flrst haif and completely dorinated the second haif only te gain ati despite constant pressure on the opposition. Terriers finished the round-robin in first place in their division by defeating Niagara Falls8-0, ensuring a place in the cup final against Mississauga. The final was played at Club Italia, a full-sized, immaculate pitch and Terriers took full advantage. Using quick, one-touch passing, deft control and team speed, Whitby was neyer under any real pressure and the first haîf finished with a 1-0 lead, thanks- te. a perfectly placed' threugh bail by Adam Moinar te Terrier's captain and striker Grahams MacLean, who rifled a left foot shot past the keeper. In the second half, Moînar scored on a direct free kick outside the 18-yard lino.
