Horse racrn teletheatres in region restaurants An agreement between the Ontario Jockey Club and Pîcov Downs quarterhorse faciity has been struck that will see thoroughbred and standardbred horse racing action beamed into Durham Region eating establishments. After the Ontario Racing Cômniiesion granted Picov Downs a licence to operate teletheatres in Pickering, Ajax and Whitby, owner Norni Plcov entered inte a joint venture partnership with the Ontario Joc e Clu b that will provide the satellite signal and wagering technology. The teletheatres will feature wagering on ail of the Ontario Jockey Club's thoroughbred and standardbred racing prograins with the exception eSunda afternoons during the 21-wek period froni the haginraing of May through Octohar. The two parties have agreed that simulcasting will -only take place at Picov Downs while the I[HOPKINS..ST.]..... .. .. .. .. .. . . ...... . . 9 . track offers its live quarterliorse races during those Sunda.
