Once again, Whitby spotted the o pposition a 6-2 lead before launching a big conieback which is beconiing a custoin for the Douces. In the top of the sixth Whitby sent 10 batters te the plate, collecting seven singles and scoring six runs te build up an 8-6 lead. The Douces could not hoîd the Pirates in the bottom haîf of tbe inning. Pickering scored two runs te play the spoiler, tying the gaine and eliminating Whitby. Ryan Matthews started the final gaine and was relieved by Mantle.
