Durham 's biggest car shiow planned Durham Region is getting ready for the largest auto show to ever corne its way. The Motor City Car' Club, in celebration of its 35th anniversary and thie Region's 20th anniversary, have been woring tobring together Celebrate Durham '94 Autofest. On Sunday, Aug. 28, custom, vintage, street rod and pr-teet autos from ail over Canada and the United SttswilI be showing off theirugoods at the General Motors of Canada administration bilding. It is expected that more than 300 pre-1974 vehicles will be on display for the public to admire. Major corporate spon sors have corne forward with substantial support for the event. A multitude of prizes will be up for grabs amongst those vehicles that catch the eye. As well, t here will be on-site entertainment and free give-aways te, the public. Anyone with a cassic beauty sitting in the garage can stili be p art of the festivities. Pre-registrants are eligible te win a Clarion CD car stereo system, a five-foot, roll-around upper and lower cabinet, compliments of Gray Tools or a trip for two te Las Vegas, compliments of Marin Travel.
