In the play, Monica Bowlin (played by Meichaels) is a talk show host who returns with her sisters Annie (Anne Walker) and Izzy (Susan Pearce) ta their childhood home for her wedding. 1%e play' directed by Susan Lowery77d produced by Carolyn Wilson is described as a hurnourous slie of life wrapped up in a good aId sibling rivalry. "You can get a feeling for a pay or you don't, y ou can relate ior you don't. B ut I did relate ta it,»" says Michaels. '«I *ust liked the whole gist of the play, where it was going, and so it read well.» Michaels' character is stubborn and insecure, but always with a happy face no rnatter what the situation. uShes an achievér and she tries ta rnake up-for the lack of certain things in her life by achieving success.» Even though they love each ather, the three sisters in the play are just that - they are not frien des. Throughout the play, they al see the past in différent ways and struggle ta corne ta terns with their painful memories of a past dysfunctional farnily. The three sisters also try to reach an understanding of each other. "The love cornes through after ail,» hints Michaels. The play, written b y Joan Casademont, is also about fema le and miale relationships. Monica's ex-boyfriend Rager (Brad Car- son) places an "interesting twist» on thep lot, as dôes Izzy's friend Joel (Michiael Gardner) and Annie's ex-fiance Harry (Chris Francome). Casademant gives her audience a message of hope: «It is really about overcoming fear and going for the heart of sanie- thing," says Michaels. "People will see them (charac- tors) and they% will either know sornebody orh ave been in that situation themselves.... Anybody could relate ta, the characters in one way or another. Ail the characters are very human.» According ta Michaels, cast members have had a great time working together. «We have had a bal, it has been a blast, really.
